James E. Brown was born in Youngstown, Ohio, on July 20, 1954. He is licensed to practice law in all state courts in Ohio, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Mr. Brown received his B.A. from Kent State University in 1979, and his J.D. from the University of Akron Law School in 1983. Mr. Brown is an active member in good standing of the Akron Bar Association and Ohio State Bar Association. He practices in the areas of civil litigation, real estate, family law, divorce, child custody, child support, and probate.
