James W. Slater was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, on October 5, 1943. He is licensed to practice law in all state courts in Ohio and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Mr. Slater received his A.B., with honors, from the University of Connecticut in 1966 and his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1969. He is an active member in good standing of the Akron Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, and American Association for Justice. Mr. Slater practices in business and commercial litigation, personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, legal malpractice, employer intentional torts, and medical malpractice.
